Open Executive Programme
DBA, PhD and MPhil

There are many places where you can get an MBA degree. The best ones are approved by at least one of the three internationally recognized institutes for quality assurance (accreditation) of management education. The three major awarding bodies are the British AMBA, the American AACSB and the European EQUIS.

Only a handful of MBA educations in the world have acquired triple accreditation. The Henley MBA is one of them - and is the only business school in Denmark who has the triple accreditation. Accreditation is a guarantee for you to obtain one of the best executive educations in the world.

All Henley MBA programmes are accredited by The Association of MBAs (AMBA). Of all the institutions offering MBAs in the United Kingdom (and there are over 100), only a small proportion of these programmes (less than 40%) are accredited by AMBA. In November 1997, AMBA conducted a re-accreditation visit to Henley and submitted an extremely positive assessment report.
In Europe, the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd) has established an accreditation facility known as EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). EQUIS was launched in 1997 as a common accreditation scheme to allow effective comparison between business schools in different countries and cultural contexts. EQUIS accreditation applies to the institution rather than the individual programmes. Henley Management College achieved EQUIS accreditation in March 2000.
In the United States most accredited MBA programmes are accredited by AACSB (the International Association for Management Education). "AACSB accreditation confirms Henley's commitment to leading edge quality business and management education and development", says Chris Bones, Principal of Henley Management College. "We're proud to be one of the first schools in the UK and only a handful of business schools in the world have been awarded the triple accreditation: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA."

Henley Management College is incorporated by Royal Charter in the United Kingdom and has the power to award its own taught degrees, in the same way that universities do. This power is authorised by the UK Government through the College's Royal Charter, granted by the Queen through the Privy Council. The quality of Henley's degrees (like all degrees offered by UK Universities) is monitored by the UK Government's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. The QAAHE conducted a Quality Audit of Henley Management College in December 1997, the report of which was extremely positive and was published.
